Volunteer with Us!

We are so glad to share that after a long, COVID-related hiatus, we are relaunching the in-home and TeleCare portions of our Suburban Hospice volunteer program! We have volunteer needs in each of the following service areas:

  • Patient care visits at home (do light housekeeping, reading, or companioning tasks)
  • Patient care visits at a facility (visiting, reading, pet visits, and more)
  • TeleCare check-ins by phone
  • TeleCare bereavement calls to family members who are grieving
  • Helping at our hospice events and memorial services
  • Assisting with staff support and surprises
  • Good-will drop-offs (taking flowers, cards, candy, and more to patients and families)

We welcome all interested and kind-hearted people who recognize the purpose of kindness, service, and love. We invite you to apply to become one of our volunteers if you align with our values of honesty, respect, committment, hope, love, advocacy, and community.

Please watch the brief video to the right explaining more about our Suburban Hospice volunteer program, and click the link below to download and complete our Suburban Hospice volunteer application!

We look forward to serving alongside you in this heartwarming and rewarding work.

A team of integrity and kindness

Thank you so much for the excellent care you gave my husband over the past 18 months. With your care, he felt better and more relaxed than he had been, and we had him longer because of that.

Cathy and family [March 2023]

To all of the nurses and staff at Suburban Hospice, thank you for your words of sympathy, your voice of concern, your gestures of caring, and the love you offered. We appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.

Kevin & kids [December 2022]

Thank you for attending to my husband in his last days. I wish you could have known him in better times.

Sally, spouse [January 2023]
