Traveling with You
For many families, the end-of-life journey they make with their loved ones is among the toughest and most sacred times of their entire lives. Having the right team along for support helps not only in managing your loved one’s symptoms effectively but also in finding kind and compassionate care that helps your whole family get the most from the precious moments you have together.
There is much to think about during the last weeks and days of life, and at Suburban Hospice, our nurses and aides help you learn what you need to feel confident in your care. You can visit our Caregiver Library to read some of the educational articles we share with our hospice families. Our social workers and chaplains also help your find answers to your questions and support for your own emotional needs.
Toward that end, we have a new brochure for families, written by our social worker Angelica Powell, that addresses the question, “What Do We Do Now?” after a loved one has died. By following these simple guides in the early days of loss, you can make sure the practical things have been handled so you can let yourselves grieve and remember. (Click the Download button below to view and download the “What Do We Do Now?” brochure.)
We also continue to travel with you through your time of grief and offer many resources and groups as support along the way. You can click below to learn more about our free, ongoing bereavement services.
