an Hospice, Inc., is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and has consistently earned industry awards that show that we put quality, kind, expert care at the center of all we do.
Our families respond to independent surveys that ask questions about the level of satisfaction with our care in a variety of areas. Our consistently high results show that we care very much about providing excellent, consistent, quality care for our hospice patients andt their families. Here is a quick look at our awards in the last few years:
- In 2021, we earned SHPBest Superior Performer award for achieving an overall score that ranked in the top 20% in the SHP national CAHPS Hospice benchmarks.
- In 2020, there were no awards given due to COVID.
- In 2019, we were awarded the SHPBest Premier Performer award for ranking in the top 5% for 2018
- In 2018, we achieved the SHPBest Premier Performer award for ranking in the top 5% of hospices nationwide for 2018. We were the only hospice organization in the state of Indiana to achieve this level of excellence.
- In 2017, we were recognized as being a leader in the top 20% of hospices in the country.
We work hard to be sure that our families receive the right amount of emotional and spiritual support and as much training in how to care for their loved ones as they need. We communicate carefully about the side effects of medications and help our families know what to do when their loved one seems uncomfortable. These efforts clearly mean something to our families because the scores in those areas were consistently high on survey results.
In addition, our last survey for accreditation found us to be deficiency free. These measures all help us know that the care we provide to our patients and our families is making a difference. And that means everything to us!
