Changes in Energy Level
One of the most noticeable changes you may see as your loved one gets closer to the end of life is a decrease in energy and stamina. Outings she used to enjoy easily may begin to leave her extremely tired, winded, and more. She may express less often a desire to “go and do.” She could becomes increasingly comfortable with staying home, with having fewer visitors, with less stimulation.
Gradually she will likely begin to sleep more and spend the majority of her time in bed. You may notice physical changes and a decrease in energy, as well as a lessening interest in the outer world. There are important things going on inside and the body needs to conserve energy. Even minimal activity can leave your loved one tired all day.
